Art of the Saber

For all you Star Wars geeks out there, I present to you Art of the Saber. It's a fantastic fan-made film with great fight choreography. George Lucas must have peed his pants when someone with a lower budget than him made a better fight scene than he ever had.

Me And My Music

Hello, Blogger! It's been a while. I know last post I did I said that I would post more frequently, but it would seem I lied. That was not my intent, I assure you. I will get better.

UPDATE: I flew up to Minnesota on Monday to meet my brother then we drove home. Lots of fun happened, Top 5 List game all day yesterday, and pony burgers (Not burgers made from small horses - small size horseshoes [Don't know what a horseshoe is? Check it out here.

Anyways, on to the topic of my post for this particular post: music. I don't consider myself very artistic with my music like most people. Frankly, I think that people who just listen to artsy music are kind of snobbish. There are so many genres out there other than Indie and the many sub-genres that it has - which is gigantic...and ridiculous.

Anyways, on the ride home from Minnesota and through the ginormous state of Illinois (57, 918 square miles), we had my iPod on shuffle. I don't have a lot of music - only about 550 songs. And some people may say it's too mainstream, but that's ok with me. Music is not a lifestyle; it's something I do when I want to relax and sing along.. Some people take their music way too seriously. They get offended if someone disses their favorite bands.

That's ridiculous. People who treat their music like it's the only music in the world really need to get out more. For you audiophiles out there, chill out! It's ok!

As for me and my household, we shall listen to music we genuinely enjoy.

My favorite thing about the bands I like is when the albums they make, suit them. I prefer to hear a band play something they like playing as opposed to whatever trend is out in the world at the moment. For example, Anberlin's New Surrender: fits them perfectly. Not saying I don't love their other albums. I enjoy Never Take Friendship Personal and I adore Blueprints For The Black Market. Blueprints and New Surrender are Anberlin in all their wonderfulness. The lyrics and the musical arrangements fit lead singer Stephen Christian's melancholy voice perfectly. And I love the occaisional synthesizer thrown in to complete their almost Cure-like sound.

Anyways, that's the end of my rant. Thanks for reading and see you in future posts. Adios.

Weclome Bak!

I have returned! I've been considering a comeback for several weeks and have finally decided to do it to it. Things that have been happening in my life since my last post: school and work. School at Columbus Technical School and work at Marco's Pizza on Double Churches (Come and say that you read about it on my blog - nothing special will happen, though). Also, I've become addicted to SwagBucks. Sign up here if you want to.
